The joyous holiday season begins when the orchestra presents its 47th annual holiday concert. Again this year it will be in the relaxed, family friendly environment of the McLean Montessori School. Last year was a standing-room only event, with fun and frolic for all the children, the adults, and the musicians.
A special treat will be the Symphony debut of outstanding soprano JACQUELINE NEIMAT, who will be heard singing the famous Ave Maria by Schubert, and the hauntingly beautiful song, O Holy Night by French composer, Adolphe Adam. For those selections, Associate Conductor, Igor Sarmientos will direct the orchestra.
For the rest of the program maestro Fleary will lead the musicians in seasonal favorites including a medley from How the Grinch Stole Christmas and numerous rousing selections such as A Russian Christmas, as performed by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. The audience will invited to sing carols and delightful holiday songs along with the orchestra in what has been called “the community’s favorite Sing Along.”
